Edna Clark'S Cake Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 egg whites
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    fresh coconut
Preparation
    Boil first 3 ingredients in saucepan at 240\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites very stiff.
    Pour syrup very slowly into egg whites.
    Beat constantly; add vanilla.
    Frost cake.
    Sprinkle with coconut.
