Aunt Callie'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. cocoa
    3/4 c. hot water
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream
    together
    sugar,
    shortening and eggs.
    Dissolve cocoa in\thot
    water
    and
    add to creamed mixture.
    Mix baking soda and flour together.
    Add flour mixture and buttermilk to cream mixture,
    a
    little at a time.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
