Scratch Italian Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tomatoes per person
    1/2 green pepper per person, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. basil
    2 green onions per person, chopped
    1 clove garlic
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Peel and seed tomatoes. Chop up and set aside.
    Saute green onions, green peppers and garlic.
    Pour in tomatoes and spices. Simmer on low for at least 1 1/2 hours, covered.
    Serve on pasta or grilled chicken.
