Apple-Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. coarsely chopped apples
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine apples and sugar and let stand.
    Beat eggs slightly. Beat in oil and vanilla.
    Combine sifted flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Stir in alternately with apple-sugar mixture. Stir in nuts.
    Pour into greased oblong pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Let cool.
    Frost if desired with lemon frosting.
