Early American Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. cut and peeled tomatoes
    1 lb. ground round
    1 qt. quartered potatoes
    4 large onions
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    5 large carrots, cut in chunks
Preparation
    Brown ground round steak in a skillet in 2 tablespoons oil. Place all other ingredients in 1 gallon steel cooker.
    Add browned meat and bring to full boil.
    Turn down fire to simmer.
    Cook 1 hour.
    \"Delicious.\"
    Stir 4 times.
