Peppernuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. white sugar
    3 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    3/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. lard
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. anise seed
    2 1/2 qt. flour
Preparation
    Mix ingredients.
    Let stand overnight in refrigerator.
    Roll out 1/2-inch thick and cut every 1/2-inch.
    Keep dough chilled. Gently pinch with fingers into pyramid shape.
    Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
