Bean Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can whole green beans
    1/3 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. dill seed
    1 tsp. mixed pickling spices
    1 medium onion
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Drain beans, reserve liquid.
    Mix reserved liquid with vinegar, sugar, dill seed, pickling spices and 1 teaspoon salt; bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat; cover.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Add beans; heat through.
    Cool and drain.
    Toss with onion and oil. Cover and chill overnight.
    This will keep up to a week in a tightly covered plastic container.
