Never-Fail Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    3 egg whites
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cook the first 3 ingredients together until clear. Set aside until cool.
    Add a dash of salt to the egg whites.
    Beat until stiff.
    Add mixture. Continue beating until creamy. Add 3 tablespoons sugar gradually.
    Top on favorite pie.
