Butterscotch Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    dash of salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    3 c. pastry flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add well beaten eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, soda, tartar and salt.
    Add to first mixture.
    Shape in rolls 2-inches in size and wrap in wax paper.
    Chill.
    Slice, as desired.
    Grease cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
