Ingredients

1 stick oleo, softened
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 3/4 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. candied cherries, chopped
3/4 c. candied pineapple, chopped
3/4 c. chopped dates
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream sugar and oleo; add egg and beat well.
Sift dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture along with buttermilk. Stir in fruit, dates and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonful on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 400\u00b0.
