Miss Nellie Myer'S Pie (1949) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 stick butter
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar or rum
    1 egg
    2 c. fresh raspberries
    4 eggs, separated
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut butter into flour and sugar.
    Add vinegar and egg, mixing lightly to form dough.
    Roll out and line a deep pie plate.
    Flute edges.
    Spread fruit over the bottom.
    Beat egg yolks, sugar, flour, sour cream, milk, vanilla and salt together.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the egg mixture.
    Pour over the fruit.
    Bake 45 minutes; turn off oven and leave pie an additional 10 minutes.
    Open oven door and leave in the oven a few minutes longer.
