Ingredients

2 Tbsp. flour
a little cold water
1/4 c. hot soup liquid
Preparation

To add flavoring and thickness to soups, lightly brown flour in a frying pan.
(Watch and stir flour; otherwise, it will get too brown and burn.)
Add a little cold water from the tap to the lightly-browned flour.
It will form a paste.
Add 1/4 cup of hot soup liquid to the paste, then put into the rest of soup and stir.
