Onion Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

30 crackers, crushed
1/2 c. melted butter
3 c. sliced onions
1/4 c. butter
1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 c. scalded milk
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Mix crumbs and 1/2 cup melted butter and press into greased 2-quart baking dish.
Saute sliced onions in 1/4 cup butter then pour onions over crumbs.
Sprinkle cheese over onions.
Mix milk, eggs, salt and pepper.
Pour over the cheese and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until set like a custard.
Very good.
