Christmas Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
2/3 c. shortening or oil
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. mincemeat
1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Preparation

Beat sugar, oil and eggs.
Add sifted dry ingredients and buttermilk.
Mix well.
Add mincemeat and chopped nuts.
Spray tube pan with corn oil spray.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
