Macaroni And Cheese(Newfie Style) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. box casserole size elbow macaroni
    1/2 lb. Colby cheese
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 slices toasted whole wheat bread
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. diced onion (optional)
    1 lb. can tomatoes
Preparation
    Boil macaroni and drain.
    Add milk, butter, salt, pepper and onion.
    Add cheese, but reserve a little for the top.
    Be sure to stir occasionally as cheese melts.
    Add toasted bread that has been broken into bite size pieces.
    Add tomatoes and stir gently. Sprinkle cheese on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
