"Mock Apple Pie" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    16 salt crackers (any kind)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Boil together the water, sugar and cream of tartar for four (4) minutes after coming to a boil.
    Crush (not too fine) the crackers. Put into unbaked pie crust.
    Pour the boiled liquid over crackers; add butter and cinnamon (or nutmeg) and put on top crust.
