Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. quick cook oats
1 c. peanut butter
2 to 3 Tbsp. cocoa
dash of salt
Preparation

Boil shortening, sugar, milk, cocoa, salt and vanilla for around 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Add oats and peanut butter and stir well.
(If you let mixture overcook it will turn hard too fast to drop on waxed paper.)
Drop on waxed paper and flatten into round cakes.
