Ingredients

1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and egg.
Beat until fluffy.
Add vanilla. Gradually mix in flour.
Chill dough.
Roll 1/8-inch thick to cut out cookies.
Place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes.
