Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco shortening
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. dark molasses
    1 egg
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cloves (ground)
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine and cook together the shortening, sugar, molasses and egg, just until blended.
    Remove from heat.
    Add the remaining ingredients; cool.
    Shape into balls; roll in sugar.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until cracks form on the top.
    Do not overbake (approximately 7 to 10 minutes).
