Praline Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. pecan halves
    salt to taste
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. maple syrup
    1/4 c. + sugar
Preparation
    Place pecans in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Salt. Heat at 250\u00b0 for 5 minutes. In a large saucepan, melt butter. Over medium heat, stir in maple syrup and 1/4 cup sugar until boiling. Allow to boil for 5 minutes over low heat. Stir in pecans, stirring to coat evenly. Return to cake pan. Bake at 250\u00b0, stirring frequently to prevent clumping. Turn out onto plastic wrap, separating quickly with forks. When cool, dip into sugar.
