Banana Applesauce Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (your choice)
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour (don't use self-rising flour)
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. applesauce
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. mashed bananas (3 to 4, the riper they are the better)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease only the bottom of a loaf pan with shortening.
    Mix sugar and oil in a bowl with a mixer.
    Add the eggs.
    Add the mashed bananas; mix well.
    Stir in the other ingredients except the nuts and raisins.
    Add them last.
    Turn mixture into greased bottom (only) pan.
    Bake for 1 hour.
    Test with toothpick for doneness (when pick comes out clean, it's done).
    Let stand in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Loosen sides with a knife and turn out onto a cooling rack.
