Damson Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. damsons
    1 c. water
    4 lb. sugar
Preparation
    To the damsons, add water and sugar.
    Boil together for 25 minutes.
    Remove all seeds possible.
    Let preserves set overnight. Put in jars and seal with paraffin wax.
    Makes 5 pints.
