Gingerbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. molasses
    1 egg, beaten
    3 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream brown sugar and shortening until lightly fluffy.
    Beat in molasses and beaten egg; sift in flour, baking soda, ginger and salt.
    Chill 2 hours.
    Divide dough into fourths.
    Roll out to your thickness; cut with cutters.
    Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool slightly.
