Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 c. (1 lb.) canned tomatoes
    3 c. cooked rice
    1 pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown crumbled beef; saute the onion and green pepper with the seasonings in a large skillet until the beef is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.
    Add tomatoes and rice, stirring frequently.
    When mixture is combined, spoon into buttered 2-quart casserole.
    Top with cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
