Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
2 c. plus Tbsp. sugar, divided
1 c. applesauce
4 eggs
1/3 c. orange juice
3/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 medium baking apples, cut
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder, 2 cups sugar, applesauce, eggs, orange juice, salt and vanilla.
Beat until combined.
Use another bowl, toss apples with cinnamon and rest of sugar.
Use a greased 10-inch tube pan.
Spread 1/3 of batter.
Cover with 1/2 of apples. Repeat layers.
Spoon remaining batter on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
Let cool in pan 20 minutes before removing from pan.
Just before serving, dust with confectioners sugar (optional).
