Dixie Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. corn meal
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    2 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add boiling water and blend. Add butter, beaten egg yolks and buttermilk.
    Blend.
    Fold in egg whites lightly but thoroughly and bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
