Ingredients

3 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
dash of salt
3 Tbsp. flour
2 baked pie shells
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
5 egg yolks
4 c. milk
Preparation

Keep the egg whites to go on top.
In a saucepan, mix sugars, flour and egg yolks.
Mix in milk; cook until thick, stirring constantly.
When thick, add margarine and vanilla.
Pour in baked pie shells.
Top with beaten egg whites in which 1/4 cup sugar has been added.
Brown under broiler in oven.
Real good pies.
