Baked Chicken That Makes Its Own Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. chicken, cut up
    1/4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 1/2 c. green peppers, coarsely chopped
    1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar whole mushrooms
    2/3 c. Carnation evaporated milk (undiluted)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. American cheese, grated
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Put melted butter in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Coat chicken with flour.
    Arrange in single layer with skin down in pan.
    Bake, uncovered, in a 425\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Turn chicken; add peppers.
    Bake until chicken is brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
    Remove baking pan from oven; reduce oven temperature to 325\u00b0.
    Pour off excess fat.
    Add mushrooms.
    Combine evaporated milk, soup, cheese, salt and pepper; pour over chicken.
    Cover with foil. Return to oven and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes.
