Salisbury Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly 1/4 cup soup, beef, crumbs, egg, onion, pepper and salt.
    Shape into 6 patties.
    Brown patties in a small amount of shortening in skillet.
    Pour fat off.
    Stir in remaining soup and water.
    Cover and cook over low heat about 20 minutes or until done.
    Stir occasionally.
