Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. milk
    1 egg, well beaten
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder in bowl.
    Cut shortening in. Add milk and egg and mix well.
    Drop by teaspoonful into boiling soup, or casserole or slightly salted boiling water; reduce heat. Cook 12 minutes, covered (don't peek).
