Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs (unbeaten)
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, cream of tartar and salt.
    Add to this the shortening, milk, vanilla and eggs. Beat until smooth.
    Bake in 8 or 9-inch layer pans for 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
