Frosted Date Balls - cooking recipe

1 1/4 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1/3 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
1 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. dates, chopped
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Combine flour and salt; sift. Cream margarine or butter and gradually add sugar. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in the sifted flour. Blend in dates and nuts. Roll in 1 inch balls. Place about 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 18 to 20 minutes. While warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
