Easy Company Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 c. butter
    1 can evaporated milk
    1/2 c. toasted bread crumbs
    1 head cabbage
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Clean and shred cabbage.
    Saute onion in butter in a pot.
    Add cabbage and milk very slowly until cabbage is soft and milk is thickened.
    Season with salt and pepper; put in a shallow oven-proof dish.
    Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
    Dot with butter and put under broiler for 3 to 5 minutes.
