Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. self-rising meal
    2 small eggs
    1/3 c. cooking oil
    1/2 c. cream-style corn
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 small hot pepper, chopped
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except cheese.
    Pour half of batter into hot, greased, black skillet.
    Sprinkle cheese on top and add remainder of batter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
