2 Daughters Yum-Yum - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. pitted dates
    1 lb. dried figs (no stems)
    1 lb. seedless raisins
    1 lb. pecans
    1/2 lb. crystallized ginger or candied orange peel
    1 to 2 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Put through coarsest cutter of a meat grinder the dates, figs, raisins, pecans and ginger or orange peel.
    If mixture is very stiff, add needed lemon juice.
    Shape into balls or centers for dipping, or form into roll to be sliced.
    Coat with confectioners sugar; wrap in foil.
