Creamy Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    8 medium potatoes, peeled and cut up
    2 1/4 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
    1 small onion, chopped
Preparation
    Heat water to boiling.
    Add potatoes and onions.
    Boil until potatoes are tender.
    Drain off water.
    Put 1/2 of vegetables into blender.
    Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of milk.
    Blend until smooth.
    Return all vegetables to cooking pot.
    Stir in remaining ingredients using measurements listed first and then adding salt and pepper to your taste.
    Heat, stirring occasionally, until hot.
    Add more milk while heating for a thinner soup.
