Cherry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cherry juice- add water to make 1/2 c.
    1 8 oz maraschino cherries
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with liquid. Mix in other ingredients and pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
