Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Measure into a bowl, the boiling water and oats.
Cool until warm and add the shortening, sugars, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix thoroughly and add, flour, soda and salt.
Bake in oblong greased pan 30-35 minutes at 350\u00b0. While still hot, spread with frosting.
