Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour, sifted
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1 c. pureed prunes (baby food)
    1 c. salad oil
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1/8 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
    Punch holes in warm cake and pour cooked syrup slowly over cake.
    Cool to serve.
