Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

baked pie shell
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. butter
2 c. scalded milk
1 c. coconut
1/8 tsp. salt
2 egg whites
2 tsp. water
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
4 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat egg yolks; gradually add sugar, salt, cornstarch and butter.
Add scalded milk.
Cook and stir over very low heat. Stir constantly until thickens.
Stir in coconut.
Cool and add vanilla.
Cool completely and pour into baked pie shell.
