Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. shoulder roast
    5 potatoes
    2 carrots
Preparation
    Wash roast.
    Salt and pepper.
    Batter in flour; put in roasting pan.
    Add water (almost to top of roast).
    Cover; cook in a 350\u00b0 oven until tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
    Take from oven.
    Add potatoes, cut lengthwise.
    Add carrots.
    Cover; put back in oven and cook until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes.
