Sausage Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. mild sausage
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. boiling water
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 Tbsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 c. mixed dried fruit
1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
1 c. flour
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Mix first 7 ingredients by hand, then add boiling water and buttermilk with soda, dissolved in 2 cups flour.
Mix well.
Mix dried fruit, black walnuts, 1 cup flour and raisins.
Add fruit mixture to batter.
Bake in greased tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Let cool.
Cover with heavy foil.
Can be refrigerated for up to 1 week or can be frozen.
