Vegetable Broth - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 med. carrots, in 2 inch pieces
    2 med. onions, quartered
    3 celery ribs, with tops,in 2 inch pieces
    2 peeled fresh plum tomatoes
    1 bay leaf
    1 small bunch parsley
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In large saucepan place ingredients.
    Cover with 3 quarts of water and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to moderately low and simmer for 2 hours.
    Strain before using.
    Can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
    Some sort of noodles can be added when serving.
