Eggs De Vaughan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bread
    1 stick butter
    12 oz. grated cheese
    4 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. each: salt, pepper and dried mustard
Preparation
    Butter bread, both sides, and cut into cubes.
    Combine milk, eggs and seasonings.
    In a 2-quart casserole dish, layer bread and cheese, ending with cheese.
    Pour egg mixture over layers.
    Let stand overnight.
    Bake, uncovered, 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
