Pecan Pie Surprise Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 c.)
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 egg
2/3 c. reserved yellow cake mix
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except pecans, and pour on baked crust. Sprinkle pecans over top of filling.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is set.
Cool.
Cut into bars.
