Date Roll Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 pkg. dates, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. white syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cook milk, sugar and syrup to soft ball stage. Add dates and nuts; cook 5 more minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from fire. Add vanilla and butter. Beat until creamy.
    Spread on wet cloth. Let stand until cool; roll and cut in slices.
