Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. mashed bananas
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Thoroughly combine sugar, shortening and eggs.
Stir in buttermilk and mashed bananas.
Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir in chopped nuts.
Pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
Bake in moderate gas oven at 350\u00b0
for 50 to 60 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
