Smoked Sausage And Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

4 large potatoes
1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
1 c. grated cheese
1 medium onion
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Peel and slice potatoes 1/4-inch thick.
Peel and slice onion 1/4-inch thick. Boil until potatoes and onion become transparent, but not completely done. Drain potatoes and onion. Layer potatoes and onion mixture in bottom of casserole dish. Slice smoked sausage 1/2-inch thick.
Layer smoked sausage in casserole dish.
Add a layer of grated cheese. Continue layering, finishing with grated cheese on top. Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 until smoked sausage is done.
Uncover and bake until edges are brown.
