Mocha Almond Crunch Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg yolk
    2 tsp. instant coffee powder
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped almonds
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar in a
    large mixing bowl.
    Beat in egg yolk, coffee, almond and vanilla extracts.
    Combine flour and salt. Gradually beat flour into butter mixture.
    Stir in chocolate chips.
    Press dough into ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Sprinkle almonds evenly over dough and pat down gently.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Let cool completely on wire rack. Break into pieces or cut into bars. Easy and tasty.
    Yields 35 cookies.
