Cabbage And Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. chicken broth
    2 c. shredded cabbage
    2 medium potatoes, pared and diced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. half and half
Preparation
    Heat broth.
    Add cabbage and potatoes.
    Cover and simmer about 10 minutes.
    In a large skillet, melt butter.
    Add onion and cook until tender.
    Stir in flour and cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add 1 cup half and half to broth mixture.
    Add onion.
    Add remaining half and half and cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve with pat of butter, if desired.
